Description

Soft, protein-rich cottage cheese bagels that stay tender and bake quickly.


Ingredients

1 cup small-curd cottage cheese (drained if very wet)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cups bread flour (optional)

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp olive oil (optional)

1 egg (for egg wash)

12 tbsp everything bagel seasoning


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Combine flours, baking powder, and salt.

3. Add cottage cheese and oil, stir until dough forms.

4. Knead lightly 4–6 minutes.

5. Divide and shape into 4–6 bagels.

6. Brush with beaten egg and top with seeds.

7. Bake 22–28 minutes until golden.

8. Cool 10–15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store at room temperature for 2 days or freeze up to 2 months. Use low-sodium cottage cheese if watching salt.
